Greater Thames Marshes Nature Improvement Area
The Great Thames Marshes area (which includes the Medway Swale Estuary) has been selected by the government to be one of 12 Nature Improvement Areas. As a result a budget of £571,000 has been secured to halt biodiversity loss and improve the landscape for its wildlife and local communities.
