Kent Oysters - Movement ban

Fisheries inspectors from Cefas (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science), have imposed a ban on the movement of all oysters from Kent's coastline. This follows the deaths of large numbers of Pacific (rock) oysters, from an outbreak of herpes.  The containment area includes The Swale, The Thames and the north Kent Coast.
